Rapid Deploy Solutions for the Emergency Response Sector

 The Special Projects Group is a division of UK Broadband which focuses on delivering solutions tailored to meet the needs of the emergency services and first responders.

Solutions offered by the UK Broadband Special Projects Group include:

• rapid deploy wireless mesh solutions for incident-wide, real-time communications
• compact and robust bodyworn cameras and transmitters which enable command and control to see real time images from the front line;
• fully integrated bespoke command vehicles with ergonomic design and rapid deploy communications;
• ethernet extenders enabling communications networks to be deployed in even the most challenging environments;
• rapid deploy broadband satellite capability to enable communication to be immediately established between an incident ground, HQ and other locations;
• total incident ground video, voice and data communications solution

Exercise Orion

The UK Broadband Special Projects Group provided video, voice and data communications in support of Exercise Orion, the UK’s first live European Union civil protection exercise, held in September 2010.
